I was born and raised in the Haight-Ashbury district of San Francisco. My mother, Karin, immigrated from Sweden and my father, Jacques, from France.  Our summer trips back to the motherlands in Europe were the breeding ground for my love of art.  I chose to make Fine Art my major at UCLA and it was one of the best decisions of my life.  I met my wife, Sabrina, (a fellow art student) while living in the dorms and we recently celebrated our 19th year of being in love (married 10 years).  After doing a long stint in design and digital content collecting, I had a revelation that I needed to get my hands on art once again.  Jo Hill at the Fowler Museum at UCLA gave me an incredible opportunity to dip my feet in the waters of art conservation.  My education is continually on-going and I wouldn't have it any other way.  On August 3, 2008 I started the greatest learning experience of my life when I became a father.  My daughter, Elia Christiana Citlali, was born in a water tub in the backyard of our house in Highland Park. On October 27th, 2011, we had a little boy, Joaquin Rolando, also born in the backyard.  The ride has been incredible so far!
